BE DEVOTED TO ONE ANOTHER
IN BROTHERLY LOVE.
HONOR ONE ANOTHER ABOVE YOURSELVES.
(Romans 12:10)
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
(Proverbs 27:17)
The Lord declares… those who honor me I will honor.
(2 Samuel 2:30)

OUR COLORS:

| |
The Knight is standing,
sword drawn, ever at the ready. Not overly aggressive, but
never backing down from truth. He is prepared with the full
Armor of God (Ephesians 6:11). His view is always filtered by
the Cross (the heart of Christ) in his helmet.
The knight is also
wearing the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. You
can see the belt but the breastplate is not as visible. The sword
that he is holding stands for the Sword of the Spirit, which is the
Word. His sword is red at the top, signifying Christ’s blood,
which He shed to honor us first
The double-edge blade is
silver, signifying our lives which have been purified by Christ's
sacrifice. The large red cape signifies Christ's blood which covers
a multitude of sins. |

OUR SHIELD:

| |
The R*12*10 in the
Shield represents Romans 12:10, our creed, which tells us to
“…..love one another in brotherly love….Honoring others above
yourself.”
The Greek word for
Christ starts with X, which is used as a symbol for Christ in the
center of our shield.
The crossed swords
indicate our allegiance to, and ready defense of, Christ’s Name.
Lastly, the LW/SC
represents Lake Wylie, SC, the area in which the HonorGuard was
born. |

When God sees us coming toward him, even in the filthy rags of our lives, He runs TOWARD us and welcomes us as guests of honor. His actions are an invitation to do likewise, 1 Peter 2:17 says to HONOR ALL.
